Shifts:
Monday to Saturday 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (1 vacancy)
Monday to Saturday 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (1 vacancy)
Sunday to Friday 10:00 p.m - 6:00 a.m. (2 vacancies)
Sunday to Friday 10:00 p.m - 6:00 a.m. (2 vacancies)
Reports to: Bryan Sanabria.
Job Summary: provide daily electrical control support, assistance and troubleshooting in all Samtec production areas, have very strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during daily operations in production floor, assist in the development of new electrical projects, capable to work under pressure, electrical technician will be able to develop his job as a team member as well as a single player. Innovator, capable and confident in coming up with solutions to any challenge within their field and able to take quick actions in order to guarantee business continuity.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize ACS to control daily tickets.
- Debug and troubleshoot of Electrical Control systems.
- Download and debug various controller software programs.
- Modify programs for automation equipment.
- Keep up to date software revisions and machines documentation.
- Electrical support for all different processes in production.
- Follow up Electrical projects, upgrades, etc.
- Collaborate on electrical projects, upgrades, etc.
- Collaborate on panel building projects.

Requirements:
- 1 year of experience on similar positions or 1-2 year at Samtec.
- At least 50% of Electrical, electromechanical, or industrial maintenance engineering.
- Intermediate English level.
- PLC Programming troubleshooting experience is required.
- HMI programming experience required.
- VFD installation and programming experience is required.
- Servo motor programming experience is required.
- Must be willing to work in a chemical environment.
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time to perform job duties.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
- CPR/First Aid/AED training
- Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to department safety rules and regulations. May be exposed to noise (required to wear protective gear). May be exposed to Hazardous Materials & Chemicals (required to wear safety glasses and other protective gear).
